Implementation of dependability performance was described in detail by standard ISO-IEC 300. In this paper possibility of dependability synthesis and analysis based to fuzzy sets theory is presented. Such conceptual and mathematic approach is appropriate for investigation and absorption of information related to machines' quality of service. Quality of service is analyzed primarily regard to logistics' indicators, but also regard to design characteristics. Although these indicators and characteristics can be obtained as quantitative parameters, their most practical evaluation is by utilization of experts' opinions and judgments, i.e. by sublimated knowledge and experience use. Example for utilization of proposed conceptual approach to functionality of mechanical systems at bucket wheel excavator is presented in this paper. However, proposed model, without significant modification, is applicable to others complex technical systems.
