Abstract

In this paper discussed are the reasons of the decreased steam boilers reliability caused by damages, and are classified into three groups: manufacture, assembling and repairing failures, failure caused by steam boiler aging and failure caused by human factor. In this paper failures belonging to the first group, along with examples characteristic for steam boilers are given. Explained are the reasons of the decreased steam boilers reliability caused by prolonged exploitation, together with processes leading to described situations. Finally, systematized are failures resulting from human factor and given examples concerning steam boilers.
