The designing of the deep drawing technological process is traditionally based upon the “trial and error” method that is not rational in most of the cases for its being time consuming and expensive. The modern approach to the design in general as well as technological processes themselves assumes the use of computer and respective program packages and tools. In applying this approach, the design process can be automated while the technological process parameters can be optimized. The paper presents an application for designing the technology of the multi-step deep drawing of round cups (vessels) that should represent a part of an otherwise complex process for deep drawing technology and tool design. The application is created in the Visual Basic package for personal computers.
